Anja Niamh Barugh

Hello there! Let me introduce myself.

I'm an Olympic Halfpipe skier hailing from the beautiful country of New Zealand. My passion for skiing has taken me around the world, and I'm lucky enough to combine my love for photography and travel along the way.

It was truly an honour to compete on the world stage and to showcase the hard work and dedication that goes into my sport.

Since the Olympics, I've been more driven than ever to continue pushing my limits and achieving my goals. Halfpipe skiing is my passion, and there's nothing quite like the feeling of landing a new trick and inspiring a younger generation.

Aside from skiing, I'm also passionate about photography and travel. I believe that inspiration can be found in the smallest of things and that beauty is all around us, waiting to be discovered if we just take the time to look.

When I'm not on the slopes/ in the snow, you can find me, driving around in my 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser (her name is Donna), sipping on a freshly brewed coffee, and taking photos of the sites. 

On this website, I'll be sharing my journey over the next four years as I work towards the 2026 Olympics and World Cups, along with all the amazing adventures that come with it. I love to challenge myself daily, and I've found that's where I learn the most. I can't wait to take you along on this crazy journey and capture all the raw, real, and beautiful moments in between.
